写作，应该是托福最简单的部分了。听到这句话，你的表情可能是这样的

　　或者是这样的

　　作为一名文艺青年写作老湿，在阅了不少2B青年、普通青年和文艺青年

　　的文章后，发现文艺这回事跟写作好配哦~我给你举个栗子~~

　　在开头段表达观点的时候，

　　2B青年：I think/believe

　　普通青年：I take theattitude that

　　文艺青年：I stake outthe position that/ I cling to an unshakable belief that

　　你的内心可能不是崩溃的，而是这样的

　　下面就来总结几个提高你文艺范的词句，小本本可以准备好了~

　　题目1. Children nowadays are less creative than before.

　　鉴于nomophobia(无手机焦虑症)已经让现代人痛不欲生，随着科学技术全方位渗透到生活的方方面面，小孩子也越来越依赖电子设备(electronic gizmos)了，因此导致了他们懒惰（indolent）以及社交障碍（socially inept）还有创造力下降（a sapping ofcreativity）。

　　脑洞已经开了，下面就是英语表达了：

　　Over-dependenceon electronic gizmos made possible by the unprecedentedly developingtechnology, in all likelihood, contributes to a sapping of creativity of kidsnowadays.

　　In all likelihood, 副词，表示很可能，可以插入到句子之中，提高格调。

　　BUT，当我再回顾世界银行行长金墉先生(花花按：不是写小龙女的那个金庸哦)在东北大学的毕业演讲时，我对上述句子有了全新的认识，所以水瓶座的我做了一件本该是处女座该做的事情----refine the sentence.

　　Overwhelming likelihood is that the creativity of pupils might atrophy (萎缩，变弱)due to heavy exposure toelectronic gizmos made possible by unprecedentedly developing technology.

　　在提到人生的不确定性的时候，金爷如是说：

　　But I’m sure many of you are morethan a little concerned about what the future will bring, and I just want tosay to you today that not only is your future uncertain, but the overwhelming likelihood is that it’s far more uncertain than you think.

　　在提到willpower的时候，金爷酱紫说：

　　Moreover, they’ve shown that will power is like a muscle that can be built with practice, but also that if you don’t actively exercise your willpower, your capacity to do so will atrophy just like your stomach muscles if you stop doing sit-ups.

　　题目2 There is never a good reason to be impolite to others.

　　虽然从小到大，粑粑麻麻都教育我们要礼貌待人，但是有些时候礼貌反而让事件升级（escalate），有时候会导致危险结果（hazardous result)。就像王朔说的，“我愿意变得更加善良，但这是以我变得更加聪明为前提的”。礼貌也是如此（likewise）。

　　这篇文章完全可以以反方观点引出自己观点，反方观点如下：

　　Politeness, as a vital trait characterizing a gentlemanly (温柔温和的)person fromwhich a civilized society is produced, has been widely acknowledged.

　　这个结构来源于GRE句子：

　　Hydrogen is the fundamental element of the universe in that it providesthe building blocks from which the other elements are produed.

　　翻译：氢元素是宇宙中的基本元素， 因为它提供了生产其他元素的建筑构件。

　　题目3：All the university students should be required to take history course.

　　所有的学生都该上历史课吗？非历史专业的学生有那么多时间吗？比如生物汪，比如化学汪，天天做实验，夜夜穿着白大褂出来吓人~哪里有时间学历史课呢？

　　非历史专业的学生可能发现自己没有时间完成毕业论文，成功毕业都有风险。

　　A non-history major may find himself stripped of adequate time to completehis major-related thesis, risking his luck to successfully graduate.

　　Stripped 一词来源于J.K罗琳在哈佛大学的毕业演讲：

　　Simply because failure meant a stripping away of theinessential.I stopped pretending to myself that I was anything other thanwhat I was, and began to direct all my energy into finishing the only work thatmattered to me.

　　金墉的演讲告诉我们如何对待人生的不确定性：

　　Don’t fear that uncertainty. Embrace it.Use it. Uncertainty means that nothing is predetermined. Uncertainty means thatthe future is yours to shape -- with the force of your will, the force of yourintellect, and the force of your compassion. Uncertainty is freedom. Take thatfreedom and run with it.

　　J.K罗琳告诉我们怎样面对失败以及想象力同理心的重要性。

　　You miht neverfail on the scale I did, but some failure in life is inevitable. It isimpossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiouslythat you might as well not have lived at all � in which case, you fail bydefault.

　　你们可能永远没有达到我经历的那种失败程度，但有些失败，在生活中是不可避免的。生活不可能没有一点失败，除非你生活的万般小心，而那也意味着你没有真正在生活了。无论怎样，有些失败还是注定地要发生。

　　以罗琳女士演讲稿的最后一句结尾吧：

　　As is a tale, so islife: not how long it is, but how good it is, is what matters.

　　生活就像故事一样：不在乎长短，而在于质量，这才是最重要的。
