• Salisbury School has entered its second century of educating boys. The School’s founder and first headmaster, The Reverend George Emerson Quaile, began with a fundamental mission and philosophy, and we celebrate and hold true to these ideals more than 100 years later. We are a boys’ school that values loyalty and honor. We are a small school that strives to develop a boy’s mind, body and spirit. Finally, we are a school founded in the tradition of the Episcopal Church and seek to instill in each boy a moral compass that will guide him during his college years and in the world thereafter. Our boys are challenged each day by their teachers, their coaches and their advisors. No one ever gets lost or falls through the cracks at Salisbury. • Every day I draw on the variety of experiences I have had at different schools. My wife and I truly enjoy being a part of the Salisbury community. This is a special place with wonderful people that truly make a significant difference in boys' lives. We decided a long time ago that this was the type of school where we wanted to live and work.     Peter grew up in the Midwest and graduated from New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois. After graduating from Dickinson College with a history degree, Peter accepted a teaching position at The Rectory School. Peter was involved in many aspects of school life there: admissions, placement, history, basketball and lacrosse.
