• Scott Pottbecker joined Cheshire Academy in June 2012 as the school’s Associate Head of School after serving as the Director of Finance and Advancement at the Ross School and Chief Financial Officer at the Ross Institute.  Prior to joining Ross, Scott was the Headmaster of the Marvelwood School for six years.  Scott is a graduate of Canterbury School and of the University of Connecticut, Storrs.  As well, he holds a master of public administration degree from the University of Hartford and was recently accepted into the University of Hartford’s doctoral program in Educational Leadership.  In addition to Scott’s experiences as Headmaster, he has also worked at the Indian Mountain School and the Forman School. During his twenty-four years in private education, Scott has served as a dorm parent, tutor, math teacher and coach.  Outside of work Scott loves spending time with his wife Amy and their four children: Kayla, Colin, Taylor and Sage and their two Labrador retrievers, Katie and Tuck
