• Ann Pollina has been Head of Westover School since 1997, and has been a member of the School’s faculty since joining its Mathematics Department in 1972. She continues to teach a class in AP Calculus at the School.  Mrs. Pollina has written extensively and frequently travels throughout the country to speak on education, school excellence, and gender equity in education. As a national speaker, consultant, and organizer of symposia on gender equity in education, Mrs. Pollina is recognized as an expert on ways to involve girls in math, science and technology, and serves on the boards of directors for a number of regional and national groups that promote women’s education.

• Sara joined us this year on July 1st as our new Director of Admission.  Sara comes most recently from Annapolis, MD and was born and raised in New Milford, CT.  She has taken on many leadership opportunities in development, relationship management, communications, event planning, and building strategic partnerships in her six years of work with the United Nations Foundation and Women for Women International in Washington, D.C. Earlier, she served as a classroom teacher in elementary schools in Georgia and Massachusetts.  Sara holds a B.A. Cum Laude in Communication Sciences and English from the University of Connecticut and an M.A. in Teaching from Oglethorpe University. Sara, her husband Trevor, 22-month-old son Lleyton, and dog Sherman will be living on campus. Sara enjoys antiquing, running, playing and reading with her son, and spending time with her family
