The requirements for a diploma are 18 credits. The distribution requirements include 4 years of English, 3 years of mathematics (through Algebra II), 3 years of one world language (through Level III), 3 years of history, 3 years of laboratory science and 3 terms of either visual or performing arts. In addition, students must complete one term of Pathways (academic and social orientation) as freshmen, Ethics and Responsibility as sophomores, one term of Public Speaking as juniors and demonstrate good citizenship. Seniors are required to complete a community service project as part of the Senior Capstone program. Forty-two seniors are enrolled in one or more of the 17 Advanced Placement courses offered. Gunnery students lead a structured life. The Gunnery grading system reflects a nine-tier distribution ranging from 8 to 0. The lowest passing grade is 1. The system includes three levels of Honor Roll (Honor Roll, High Honor Roll and Dean’s List).
